To use AutoDealer.io in Spanish, go to Settings → Profile, find the Language card, pick Español (Estados Unidos) under Dashboard language, and click Save language. The setting is yours alone. It follows you to every device you sign in on, and it does not change a teammate's language or your dealership's public website.

Change your language

  1. Click your name in the top-right and choose Account settings.
  2. Open Profile and find the Language card.
  3. Under Dashboard language, pick English or Español (Estados Unidos).
  4. Click Save language. You'll see Language saved and the screen switches right away.

Saving does not reload the page. A form you were filling in, a message you were typing to the assistant and a card you had not decided yet all stay as they were.

Everyone starts in English. The app does not guess from your browser or your phone, so each person who wants Spanish turns it on once.

What changes to Spanish

  • The dashboard's own words: the menu, search, page titles, buttons, table headings, filters and messages. That covers inventory, leads, customers, the inbox, appointments, tasks, deals, title work, documents, in-house financing, Books, reports, compliance, settings, the website editor, support and notifications.
  • The AI assistant: its answers, its cards and their buttons, product help, the vehicle descriptions it drafts, and the messages it sends you on its own.
  • Telegram, if you connected it.
  • Calendar words: the names of days and months, and phrases like "2 days ago".
  • Print pages: the app's own labels on a printed report.
  • Stripe checkout: a new subscription payment page opens in your language.

What stays as it was written

  • Anything a person typed or saved: customer and vehicle names, notes, messages, task titles, file names and your website's copy.
  • VINs, stock numbers and links.
  • Official state forms, contracts and uploaded documents. They print exactly as they are.
  • The signing pad. The buyer reads it, so its buttons and the consent sentence stay in English.
  • Your public website. It has its own setting. See Choose a layout and theme for Language of the site's own words.
  • Your teammates' dashboards. Each person picks their own language.
  • Money. Amounts stay in US dollars and are calculated the same way.
  • Emails AutoDealer.io sends you. These are still in English.
  • Older assistant messages. A conversation you already had stays in the language it was written in.

The assistant in Spanish

Once you save Spanish, the assistant answers you in Spanish: in the dashboard chat, in product help, in background jobs, and in its morning summary and alerts. It still reads the same records and follows the same role and approval rules.

You can ask for another language when you need it. "Write this customer an email in English" gets an English draft.

In Spanish, a card is approved only with its buttons. In English you can reply "yes" to approve a single card. In Spanish that shortcut is off. Typing "sí", "si", "ok" or "yes" does not approve or reject anything: the assistant answers that the decision is made on the card, and the card stays Requiere aprobación (Needs approval). Click Aprobar (Approve) or Rechazar (Reject) on the card itself.

The reason is safety. Short replies such as "y" and "ya" are everyday Spanish words, so a typed answer cannot be read as a clear yes.

Telegram in Spanish

Telegram follows the same setting. The assistant writes to you in Spanish there, and the buttons under a card read ✅ Aprobar #1 and ✖ Rechazar #1.

Typed text never approves a card on Telegram, in either language. Tap the numbered button, or open the dashboard for money and irreversible actions. See Chat with your dealership from Telegram.

FAQ

How do I switch the dashboard to Spanish?

Go to Settings → Profile, find the Language card, pick Español (Estados Unidos) under Dashboard language, and click Save language.

¿Cómo cambio el panel a español?

Abre Settings → Profile, busca la tarjeta Language, elige Español (Estados Unidos) en Dashboard language y haz clic en Save language. El cambio es solo para ti, no para tus compañeros.

How do I go back to English?

The same place. In Spanish the path reads Configuración → Perfil → Idioma. Pick English under Idioma del panel and click Guardar idioma.

Does switching to Spanish change my teammates' screens?

No. The setting belongs to the person who saved it. A coworker keeps the language they chose.

Can the owner set Spanish for the whole dealership?

No. There is no dealership-wide switch. Each person sets their own language under Settings → Profile.

Will my public website switch to Spanish too?

No. Your website has its own setting in the website editor, Language of the site's own words. See Choose a layout and theme.

Why did typing "sí" not approve the card?

In Spanish, typed replies never approve or reject a card. Click Aprobar or Rechazar on the card. Nothing was changed by the typed reply.

Are state forms and contracts translated?

No. Official forms, contracts and documents you uploaded keep their original wording. Only the app's own labels around them change.

Why are some things still in English?

Records keep the words they were saved with: names, notes, messages, file names and older assistant conversations. Emails from AutoDealer.io are also in English.
