Notification preferences
Choose what your AI assistant proactively keeps you posted on, and manage your optional email opt-ins.
Your dealership runs two assistants, and they live on the same settings page. The Public AI is the salesman shoppers chat with on your storefront. The Dealer AI is your private assistant on the dashboard — and it can proactively reach out to you about what's happening on your lot. This page is where you choose what it reaches out about.
Choose what your assistant keeps you posted on
- Go to Settings → AI assistant.
- Scroll to the Dealer AI — your private assistant section.
- Find the card titled What your assistant keeps you posted on.
- The alerts are grouped by category (Leads & CRM, Tasks, Inventory, Deals & Sales, and more).
- Flip the switch next to anything you want on or off.
- Each change saves instantly — there's no Save button.
Each alert shows a small chip — instant, daily, weekly, or periodic — so you know how often it can fire before you turn it on.
What you can be notified about
These are the alert types your assistant can send. The list you actually see depends on your role (see the note below).
Leads & CRM
- New lead assigned to you — instant
- Stalled lead (going cold) — daily
- New leads still uncontacted (manager) — daily
Tasks
- Task assigned to you — instant
- Tasks due today — daily
- Task overdue — daily
Inventory (manager)
- Aging inventory — vehicles crossing 30 / 45 / 60 / 90 days — daily
- Incomplete listing (missing photos, price, or specs) — daily
- Floor-plan exposure aging — weekly
Deals & Sales (manager)
- Deal marked sold — instant
- Deal stuck in stage — daily
Titles (manager)
- Title work overdue — daily
BHPH & Collections (manager)
- BHPH account delinquent — daily
- BHPH payment due soon — daily (off by default)
- BHPH late fee assessed — daily
Compliance (manager)
- License / bond / insurance expiring — daily
- OFAC / sanctions hit on a deal — instant
Performance (manager)
- Morning digest — daily
- Weekly performance summary — weekly
Billing (manager)
- Subscription payment failed — instant
Account & platform (manager)
- Platform announcements (reworded by your assistant) — instant
Lot-level, financial, and compliance alerts (the ones marked manager above) are only shown to Owner and Admin / Manager users. Other roles (Sales, Accounting) see just the personal alerts — their own leads and tasks — and won't be paged on the rest. The two scheduled summaries (Morning digest and Weekly performance summary) are sent to the owner.
How the alerts reach you
When you turn an alert on, your assistant watches for that signal and writes you a short, natural-language message in your dashboard AI chat — the same conversation you already use the assistant in. A red dot on the AI button in the top bar tells you there's an unread message. You can reply right there to dig in.
The bell icon in the top bar is separate. It shows a platform-curated activity list that we choose for everyone — these toggles don't turn the bell on or off. They control what your assistant proactively messages you about.
If you've connected Telegram (in the same Dealer AI section), your assistant uses these exact same choices to message you on your phone — there's nothing extra to set up. Telegram has to be enabled on the platform first; if you don't see a working connect option, that means it isn't turned on for the platform yet.
Your assistant only tells you about things. It never changes data on its own. When you ask it to do something — update a lead, mark a deal, charge a payment — it proposes the change and waits for your approval or a typed "yes" before it acts.
Your changes only override the defaults
Most alerts are on out of the box. When you flip a switch, the app saves only your choice — your personal override on top of the default. That means:
- Your settings are per-user: turning off "Task overdue" affects only your alerts, not a teammate's.
- New alert types we add later turn on at their default automatically — you don't have to do anything.
Optional emails are managed separately
The toggles above control your assistant's chat alerts. Optional emails (like marketing and product updates) live on a different page.
- Go to Settings → Profile.
- Find the Email preferences card.
- Turn optional email categories on or off.
Account, security, billing, and payment emails are part of the service and are always sent — you can't switch those off.
FAQ
I turned everything on but I'm not getting any messages.
Proactive messages need the Dealer AI assistant to be active for your dealership and your subscription to be in good standing. Instant alerts fire as events happen; daily and weekly ones (like digests and aging-inventory warnings) run on a schedule, so give them a day or a week. If a teammate uses the assistant heavily, a platform-wide AI usage limit can also pause messages temporarily.
Why don't I see the inventory, deals, or compliance alerts?
Those are manager-level alerts. Only Owner and Admin / Manager accounts see and receive them. If you're on a Sales or Accounting role, that's expected — ask your owner if you need access.
Will turning off an alert here also stop the bell or my emails?
No. These toggles only control what your assistant proactively messages you about. The top-bar bell is a separate, platform-curated list, and emails are managed on Settings → Profile.
Does the assistant ever change anything on its own when it alerts me?
No. It only informs you. Any actual change — editing a record, marking a deal sold, taking a payment — is propose → approve → execute. Nothing happens until you approve it or reply "yes".
I connected Telegram. Do I have to set up alerts again there?
No. Telegram reuses the same choices you set here. Whatever you've turned on shows up in both your dashboard chat and Telegram. (Telegram has to be enabled on the platform first — if there's no working connect option, it isn't turned on yet.)
Where do I find this page again?
Settings → AI assistant, then the Dealer AI section. The card is titled What your assistant keeps you posted on.
