Edit your dealership info
Update your dealership's name, timezone, company details, EIN, and AuctionAccess number — and upload license, insurance, and bond documents.
Your dealership's core business profile lives on one page: name, timezone, company type, EIN, and your compliance documents.
The street address on your public website does not come from this page — it comes from your primary location under Settings → Locations. Your website slug is shown on this page in the Public site card, but it is read-only (only a super admin can change it).
Edit your business profile
- Go to Settings → Dealer info.
- In the Business profile card, update any of these fields:
- Dealer name (required) — shown in your site header, page titles, and shared social previews.
- Timezone — used for date displays and scheduled email reminders. Pick Use default (UTC) to fall back to UTC.
- Founded — the date your dealership was established (it can't be in the future).
- Company type — LLC, Inc, Corp, S-Corp, Sole Proprietor, Partnership, LLP, or Other.
- Employees — your headcount.
- EIN — your 9-digit Federal Employer Identification Number (e.g.
12-3456789). - AuctionAccess company number — your dealership's 7-digit "5 million number".
- Click Save dealer info.
- You'll see a green Saved. confirmation.
Your EIN is encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM). It's stored securely and isn't searchable inside the app — that's expected, not a bug.
Set your timezone
The timezone dropdown offers common US zones (Eastern, Central, Mountain, Arizona, Pacific, Alaska, Hawaii) plus UTC, with Use default (UTC) at the top. Pick the one your dealership operates in so dates and scheduled reminder emails fire at the right local time. Leave it on Use default (UTC) and the app falls back to UTC.
AuctionAccess number
The AuctionAccess company number is your dealership's "5 million number" — 7 digits starting with 5. It's used to cross-reference auction purchases (Manheim, Copart, and others). You can paste it with or without separators; the app keeps just the digits.
This field is the dealership's number only. Each salesperson has their own AuctionAccess number — set that from the individual rep's profile, not here.
Upload license & compliance documents
Your dealer license, tax ID certificate, insurance policy, and surety bond are not text fields — they're uploaded files in the Documents card on the same page.
- On Settings → Dealer info, scroll to the Documents card.
- Click Upload.
- Choose a Document type: Dealer License, Tax ID Certificate, Insurance Policy, Surety Bond, Dealer Plate, Business Registration, or Other.
- Fill in the type-specific fields that appear (for example, License number and State for a dealer license, or Policy number and Insurance carrier for an insurance policy).
- Add the Issued and Expires dates if you have them.
- Attach the File (PDF or image — JPEG, PNG, HEIC, or WebP; 20 MB max).
- Click Upload.
We email the owner 30 days and 7 days before any document expires. The list also shows an "Expires in Nd" badge (red within 7 days, yellow within 30) so nothing lapses unnoticed.
To remove a document, use the Delete button on its row — it's permanent. To replace one, upload the new file and then delete the old row. The Download button opens the stored file.
FAQ
Where do I change my dealership's address?
Not here. The address shown on your public website comes from your primary location. Go to Settings → Locations to edit it.
Where's the field for my legal name, DBA, or license number?
There isn't a single legal-name or DBA field. Your Dealer name is the name shown everywhere on your site. Your license number is captured when you upload your Dealer License in the Documents card (it has its own License number and State fields).
Why can't I change my website slug?
The slug is locked because changing it breaks every existing inbound link to your storefront. Only a super admin can change it — contact support if you truly need it changed.
Who can edit dealer info?
Saving changes to the business profile is restricted to an Owner or Manager. A salesperson may see the page, but the Save dealer info action is rejected for them.
Is my EIN safe?
Yes. Your EIN is encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. Because it's encrypted, it can't be searched within the app.
Why didn't my AuctionAccess number show up on a salesperson's account?
The number on this page is the dealership's company number only. Each rep has a separate personal AuctionAccess number — set it from that rep's individual profile.
