Post cars to Craigslist
Connect your own Craigslist account, then post a car from its page. Craigslist charges your account for every posting.

Craigslist is different from the other marketplaces. It does not read a feed. Each car is its own posting, a person posts it, and Craigslist charges your Craigslist account for every posting. AutoDealer.io charges nothing for it.
This only works once Craigslist has turned on bulk posting for your account. Craigslist decides account by account, and says it grants it to accounts that post hundreds of times a month. Call Craigslist at 415-399-5200 x8283 to ask. Without it, Craigslist refuses the connection.
Connect your Craigslist account
- Go to Settings → Marketplaces and find the Craigslist account card.
- Enter the email and password you sign in to Craigslist with, and your Craigslist account number.
- Pick your Craigslist area. Some areas ask for a part of the area too.
- Choose where replies go and how your email shows on a posting. The default hides it behind a Craigslist relay address.
- Click Connect Craigslist. We check the sign-in with Craigslist before saving anything.
Craigslist offers no other way to connect than your email and password. Your password is stored encrypted and is used only to send your postings. Only owners and managers can connect, post or take down.
Post a car
- Open the car and click Edit. Scroll to the Craigslist card.
- If the card lists things the car needs first (a price, a public photo, a full 17-character VIN, being published to your website), fix those.
- Click Post to Craigslist…. Nothing is posted yet.
- Read the dialog. It shows the title, the asking price, the area, the posting text and the fee Craigslist quotes. If you hold prepaid postings for the area, one of those is used first.
- Tick the box, then click Post and pay Craigslist.
The posting can take a few minutes to appear on Craigslist. Up to 24 of the car's public photos go with it, your listing photo first.
After a car is posted
- View on Craigslist opens the posting.
- Edit on Craigslist opens Craigslist's own edit page. A change you make to the car in AutoDealer.io does not change a posting that is already up.
- Take down deletes the posting from Craigslist. Craigslist may not refund the fee.
- When the car is sold, its posting is taken down for you.
If Craigslist never confirms a posting
Sometimes a posting is sent and no answer comes back. The card then says Not confirmed. The posting may or may not be up, and you may or may not have been charged.
Look at your Craigslist account first. If the posting is not there, click It is not on Craigslist and you can post the car again. If it is there, leave the card alone and manage the posting on Craigslist, so you do not pay twice.
Disconnect
Disconnect on the Craigslist account card removes your sign-in from AutoDealer.io. Postings that are already up stay up, and you take them down on Craigslist.
