See which cars shoppers look at

Views of each car's page on your website and the leads that named it, in the inventory list, on the car's page and in your assistant's weekly recap. Counted by your website itself, without cookies.

Who: Owner, Manager, or SalesPlan: All plans

Your website counts how often each car's page is opened, and AutoDealer.io lines that up with the leads that asked about the car. A car that many shoppers look at but nobody asks about may need a better price, better photos or a clearer description; a car nobody looks at may need to be featured.

Where you see it

  • The inventory list has two columns, Views (30d) and Leads (30d): the last 30 days for every car. Click a column's title to sort by it, for example to find the most viewed cars. A car that is not on your website shows a dash for views.
  • A car's page has a Shopper interest card with its views this week, its views in the last 30 days and its leads in the last 30 days.
  • Your assistant's weekly recap names the most viewed cars of the week with their leads, and how many cars drew views but no lead.

How views are counted

  • Your website counts a view when a shopper opens the car's page, once per shopper per day: reloading the page or coming back from the photos does not count again.
  • The count is kept by your website itself. No cookie is set, nothing about the shopper is stored or sent anywhere, and the count does not wait for your cookie banner (only your own marketing tags do).
  • Search engines, link previews and other robots are left out, and so are shoppers whose browser asks websites not to share their data (Global Privacy Control).
  • Your own clicks in the visual builder's preview never count. Opening your live site yourself does count, like any visitor.
  • A sold car's page is not counted.

What counts as a lead

A lead counts toward a car when it names that car: a question or a test drive request sent from the car's page, or a lead your team entered for that car. Deleted leads are left out.

FAQ

Why do my views look lower than my ad platform's numbers?

Your website counts each shopper once a day per car and leaves out robots, so the number is closer to the real people who looked. Ad platforms usually count every page load.

Can I see views for a car I sold?

The counts stay with the car, so its page still shows the views it had in the last 30 days. New views stop once it is sold.
