The Financing page and pre-qualification form

Your website has a Financing page at /financing. It is in your menu next to Inventory, and it carries a short form a shopper can fill in two minutes to ask to be pre-qualified.

What the form asks

The form asks what a lender needs to say "come in, we can work with you" and nothing an application would ask:

• how to reach them (name, and an email or a phone number),
• the stock number of a car they like (filled in for them when they come from a vehicle page: every vehicle page's inquiry form has a Get pre-qualified for this car link),
• employment, monthly income, time at their job, housing and monthly rent or mortgage, how they rate their own credit, the down payment they have, and whether they have a trade-in,
• anything else they want to tell you.

Every money question is answered in bands, not figures. There is no Social Security number and no date of birth, and the shopper ticks a line that says this is a request to be contacted, not a credit application, and that no credit check is run until they ask for one in person.

What you get

A new lead marked Pre-qualification for financing. Open it under Leads and the card What they asked for shows every answer, with the date and time the shopper agreed to the line above.

• The email and the bell that announce the lead say what it is ("rates their credit fair, has a trade-in") and never the money answers. Those stay on the lead page, behind your login, and they are stored encrypted.
• The lead handler in your AI assistant can read the answers when you ask it about the lead.
• A shopper who also sent a question about a car gets two leads, one for each, so nothing is lost.

What became of these leads, how many started a deal and how many sold, is on the Website settings page under Results (the last thirty days) and in Reports, Leads & Marketing under Your website's forms → deals for any period.

Your own words on the page

The page comes with short copy that explains how it works. To write your own, create a page under Website → Pages with the slug financing and publish it. Its title and text replace the platform's, and the form stays underneath. If you already had a Financing page there, it shows on the new page now, form included.

The page can be renamed, moved or hidden in the menu with the Menu button in the visual builder, and its search title and description are set with the Search button (or on the page itself under Pages).

Spam

The form has a hidden field only a robot fills, and one visitor can send at most three requests a minute. A submission a robot made never reaches your leads.
