How shoppers reach you from a vehicle page
What a shopper sees on a car's page to contact you (Call, Text with the car already named, Check availability on a phone, the question form and the car's lot) and where each one lands.
Every car's page on your website gives a shopper several ways to reach you. There is nothing to set up: they use your locations' phone numbers and your inventory.
In the pricing box
- Call dials the phone number of the lot the car is on (your primary location's number when that lot has none).
- Text opens the shopper's messages app with a first message already written, naming the car and its stock number, for example "Hi! Is the 2021 Honda Accord Sport (Stock #A123) still available?". The shopper can change it before sending. On a Spanish site the message is in Spanish. On a sold car the message starts empty.
- Location shows where the car is, with Get directions (see Locations).
- Get pre-qualified and Value your trade-in open your Financing and Trade-in pages already told which car the shopper is looking at, so the request you get names it.
A sold car, and a search with no results
A car you sold stays on your site for your sold-listing window (see Keep sold cars on your website). Its page says it is sold and offers See similar cars (your other cars of the same make, or your whole inventory when you have none) and Ask us to find one (your Contact page), so the shopper is never left with nowhere to go.
When a shopper's filters on your inventory page match nothing, the page says so and offers Clear all filters, back to every car.
On a phone
A bar stays at the bottom of the screen while the shopper scrolls the page:
- Check availability (for a car you still have) jumps to the Ask about this vehicle form, writes "Is this vehicle still available?" into the message box when it is empty, and puts the cursor in the first box, so the shopper only has to add their name and a way to reach them. The form creates a lead in your Leads with the car attached.
- The phone and message icons beside it are the same Call and Text as in the pricing box.
On a sold car the bar keeps Call and Text and has no Check availability.
