Show estimated payments on your listings
Enter your financing terms (the APR, how often and how many payments, the down payment) and each vehicle page and every car's card shows an estimated payment with every term written beside it. No payment shows until you save your terms.
Each vehicle page on your website, and every car's card in your inventory, on your home page and under "You might also like", can show an estimated payment, worked out from financing terms you enter: the APR, how often and how many payments, and the down payment. Federal law (Regulation Z, under the Truth in Lending Act) says an ad that mentions a payment must also state the APR, the down payment and the payment terms, so AutoDealer.io writes them beside every payment for you.
No payment shows until you save your terms. The platform never picks a rate for you.
Until September 24, 2026, vehicle pages showed a payment worked out at a 7.9% APR that the platform chose. They no longer do. Enter your own terms below to show payments again.
Enter your terms
- Go to Website and find the Payments on your listings card, in the Content & trust section.
- Enter your APR (for example
7.9for 7.90%). - Choose how often buyers pay: Monthly, Every two weeks or Weekly.
- Enter the Number of payments. 72 monthly payments is six years; 104 weekly payments is two years.
- Choose the Down payment: a Share of the price (for example 10%) or a Set amount (for example $1,000).
- Read the preview under the boxes. It is the sentence shoppers will see, worked out on a $20,000 car.
- Click Save terms. Your vehicle pages show the payment at once; there is nothing to Publish.
Enter terms you actually arrange for buyers. Advertising a rate or a payment you do not offer is against the law, even with fine print under it.
Turn payments off, or remove your terms
- The Show estimated payments switch on the same card turns payments off without losing your terms. It saves the moment you flip it.
- Remove terms takes your terms away (it asks first). With no terms, no payment shows, even with the switch on.
What buyers see
- Under the car's name and price: "Estimated payment: $393.40/mo", then the sentence: "72 monthly payments of $393.40 at 7.90% APR, with $2,500 down. Taxes, title and fees are extra. With approved credit." On a phone or a tablet this shows on every layout. On a computer it shows on the Luxury, Split and Velocity layouts, where the pricing card sits further down the page.
- In the pricing card: the same payment and sentence, and Adjust payment. It opens boxes for the down payment, the APR and the number of payments, and the sentence always follows the numbers the buyer typed.
- On every car's card (your inventory and its make, body and price pages, the cars on your home page, "You might also like" and a shopper's Saved cars): under the price, "Est. $393.40/mo", and under that "72 payments at 7.90% APR, $2,500 down". A short note under the cards reads "Estimated payments. Taxes, title and fees are extra. With approved credit." The card's payment is the same as the car's own page.
- Weekly or every-two-weeks terms show that payment instead, for example "$110.01/wk" and "104 weekly payments of $110.01 at 24.90% APR, with $1,000 down." This suits buy-here-pay-here lots.
- On a Spanish site the payment and the sentence are in Spanish.
- No payment shows on a car without a price ("Contact for price"), on a sold car, or where the down payment covers the whole price.
FAQ
Why did the payment disappear from my vehicle pages?
Your site used to show a payment at a rate we chose (7.9% APR, 72 months, 10% down). The terms in an ad have to be ones you actually offer, so payments now come only from the terms you enter. Save your terms on the Payments on your listings card and the payment comes back.
Do I have to show payments?
No. Leave the terms empty, or switch Show estimated payments off.
Why does the sentence spell out the APR and the down payment?
Regulation Z (12 CFR 1026.24) says that when an ad states a payment amount, a number of payments, a term or a down payment, it must also state the down payment, the terms of repayment and the APR. We write the sentence from your terms, so the payment and its terms always agree.
Are taxes and fees in the payment?
No. The payment is worked out on the car's price less the down payment, and the sentence says taxes, title and fees are extra.
Can I set different terms for different cars?
Not yet. One set of terms applies to every priced car.
Do the cars in my inventory list show a payment?
Not yet. Vehicle pages show it today.
Who can change this?
Only an Owner or Manager.
I changed my terms but the old payment still shows.
