Craigslist integration that posts your cars from your own Craigslist account

With bulk posting on your Craigslist account, you post a car from its page in AutoDealer.io and skip the retyping. More local shoppers see it, which helps you sell cars faster, and nothing goes up until you confirm it.

What the Craigslist integration saves you

You pick the cars and confirm each posting. AutoDealer.io saves you the typing.
  • Posts from the car's page

Open a car in AutoDealer.io and post it from there, on your own Craigslist account. The posting shows your asking price, never your cost, your customers or your deals.

    One car at a time
  • You confirm each one

A dialog shows you the posting, with Craigslist's fee when Craigslist quotes one. Nothing goes up until you confirm it.

    You decide
  • Takes down what you sold

When a car is sold, its posting is taken down for you, and the replies about a car you no longer have stop coming.

    Automatic
  • Leaves the bill to Craigslist

Craigslist bills your account for each posting and decides what appears on its site. The integration itself is included in your AutoDealer.io plan.

Craigslist for car dealers: more local shoppers on each car, with no retyping

Craigslist puts a car in front of shoppers close to your lot. With this integration you post from the car you already keep in AutoDealer.io, on your own Craigslist account, instead of typing it all again. The one thing you need is bulk posting, which Craigslist grants account by account.

  • More local shoppers see the car

Each posting reaches people shopping near you, on top of the ones who find you through your website. The more nearby shoppers see a car, the faster it can sell.

  • Nothing to retype

The posting is built from the car you already keep in AutoDealer.io, with up to 24 photos, starting with your listing photo.

  • You see the fee up front

When Craigslist quotes a fee, the dialog shows it, so you know what the posting costs before it goes up.

How one car goes up on Craigslist
  1. You post from the car's page

The dialog shows the fee when Craigslist quotes one, and you confirm.

  2. The posting goes up

On your own account, with up to 24 photos, starting with your listing photo.

  3. Shoppers reply

Replies come by email to the reply address you choose.

Sold? The posting is taken down for you.

How to post your cars on Craigslist

  • Get bulk posting from Craigslist

Craigslist grants it account by account, usually to accounts posting hundreds of times a month. That decision is Craigslist's, and we can't get it for you.

  • Connect your account

Under Settings, Marketplaces, enter your Craigslist account email, password and account number, and choose your reply address. Only owners and managers can do this.

  • Post a car

Open the car in AutoDealer.io, choose to post it and confirm in the dialog. Do the same for each car you want on Craigslist.

Good to know

Craigslist decides what appears on its site and bills your account for each posting. Changing a car in AutoDealer.io does not change a posting that is already up. Craigslist is a trademark of its respective owner; AutoDealer.io is not affiliated with or endorsed by Craigslist.

Questions about posting to Craigslist

What you need from Craigslist, and what happens when you post.

Does it post on its own?

No. A person at your dealership posts each car from its page in AutoDealer.io and confirms it in a dialog, which shows Craigslist's fee when Craigslist quotes one. The one thing it does alone is take a posting down when the car is sold.

Why did Craigslist refuse my account?

Either the email, password or account number did not match, or bulk posting is not on for that account. Craigslist grants bulk posting account by account, usually to accounts posting hundreds of times a month, and only Craigslist can turn it on.

What do you need from my Craigslist account?

Its email, password and account number. The password is stored encrypted, and only owners and managers can connect the account, under Settings, Marketplaces.

Who pays for a posting?

You do, to Craigslist. It bills your account for each posting, and the dialog shows the fee when Craigslist quotes one. The integration itself is included in every AutoDealer.io plan.

Every record. A clearer next step.
